El Encanto Caribbean Cuisine

Danny Torres grew up working in restaurants with his father, Hilton, and came to the area from Puerto Rico in 2006, where he began working in the kitchens of steakhouses and Italian restaurants. After Hurricane Maria damaged the family restaurant where Hilton Torres worked in Puerto Rico, he decided to stay in the Lawrence area with his son and pursue their dream of opening a restaurant together.

El Encanto began in 2017 with a successful residency at the Lawrence Partnership’s Revolving Test Kitchen (RTK). El Encanto Food Truck serves authentic Puerto Rican cuisine – something that is lacking in the Greater Lawrence area – with dishes centering around rice and beans; chicken, pork and vegetable skewers; plantain bowls and roasted pork subs.
